Evaluation- Filming at the Church (before song change)

Evaluation- Filming at the Church

On the 20th October our media group visited Christ Church Epsom  to film  a service by the priest.
Before attending the service we emailed and called the church for conformation. The main aim and purpose for visting the church was to film a service and the inside of the church to relate to the lyrics for our chosen song, 'No Church in the Wild'. After setting up our filming equipment. We began filming readings from the church members and the interior of the church.

At the church, there was some obstacles we encountered, one of these being a man, who the church members warned us about, getting in the way of our filming. Another being distracted by a bat flying around in the church. Finally a large issue we encountered was the filming equipment, which quickly ran out of battery, however we managed to overcome this by having another method of filming, using an alternative camera.

There were some aspects we could have improved on, these being filming the outside of the church before it got too dark to do so and doing more planning on exactly what needed to be filmed before hand.

The positive aspects of our filming included, getting relevant footage to appear in our music video. We experimented with different camera angles and techniques that didn't work as well as we intend however we hope to be able to edit the clips for example using slow motion and colour edits to make suit our music video.
